Key Responsibilities:- Provide professional nursing care to patients within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital, assessing, planning, supervising, intervening, and evaluating patient care to prevent complications and restore optimal functioning.
- Implement identified plans of care, contributing to the development, maintenance, and update of patient plans, identifying problems and potential risks, and contributing to corrective action plans.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions, completing all documentation in a timely manner and maintaining patient clinical records and reports in accordance with hospital policy and established standards.
- Coordinate and delegate care and treatments with the interdisciplinary team, notifying proper personnel of real or potential problems with patient issues and quality and/or appropriateness of care.
- Provide timely and adequate supervision to LPNs/LVNs and Nursing Aides/Techs, performing supervisory Charge Nurse responsibilities as assigned.
- Identify patient and family learning needs, teaching patient and families using effective teaching methods, and documenting accordingly.
- Provide timely assistance with urgent and emergency situations, such as Code Blue and Rapid Response.
- Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
- One (1) year recent experience preferred, with acute care setting experience preferred.
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse required.
- Current CPR Certification required, with ACLS certification preferred for Charge Nurse role.
- CRRN certification preferred.
