Environmental Engineer III Job Description

Windstream Communications is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer III to join our team. As an Environmental Engineer III, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize environmental risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on environmental regulations and policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
  • Manage and coordinate environmental permitting and compliance activities.
  • Develop and implement environmental training programs for employees.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in environmental engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as NEPA or environmental permitting.
  • Experience with environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
