Position Overview:
ROLE SUMMARY:
Facilitates the coordination, input, oversight, and enhancement of administrative, human resources, and clinical operational functions for a division or departmental sub-unit engaged in teaching, research, and clinical services.
Coordinates or aids in the formulation of departmental budgets and projections for future financial needs.
Ensures compliance of awarded grants with established budgetary guidelines.
Negotiates new and renewal agreements with service providers.
Oversees clerical and logical support tasks, and manages specific data collection initiatives and special projects.
Creates and compiles reports.
May oversee personnel. Reports directly to the Division or Unit Director and indirectly to the Department Administrator and Chair.
Performs related duties as necessary.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
Three years of professional experience in business or management.
Prior supervisory experience is required. Experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Human Resources Management:
Initiate and manage HR requisitions (faculty, staff, chief residents)
Assist with faculty documentation, oversee credentialing processes
Coordinate onboarding for new employees (orientation to Division, workspace, equipment, access, etc.)
Submit visa sponsorship applications as needed
Operational Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor scheduling systems
Supervise outpatient scheduling processes
Submit requests for additional pay for coverage
Oversee review processes for career advancement
Request access to necessary systems
Manage division equipment and liaise with IT
Serve as the primary contact for external agencies
Generate reports on data, trends, and performance metrics
May need to respond to communications outside of regular hours to ensure clinical coverage
Supervise staff
