Job Overview

At RoadSafe Traffic Systems, we're committed to protecting the motoring public, pedestrians, and workers with top-notch products and services. As a Traffic Control Laborer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety of roadways and construction zones surrounding our country's railroad infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage temporary work zones using signs, cones, and barrels.
  • Safely manage traffic flow using stop/slow paddles and radio communication to protect workers and drivers alike.
  • Drive company vehicles to job sites, load and unload equipment (up to 50 lbs), and ensure the workspace is clean and organized.
  • Operate specialized equipment, including arrow boards, variable message boards, and TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and be on a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs for extended periods and follow safety procedures for cargo transport with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Good knowledge of state and local roadways with experience operating delivery vehicles of various sizes.
  • Ability to stand for long periods for flagging duties.
  • Previous experience in traffic control setups is a plus; ATSSA certification as a Worksite Traffic Technician or Supervisor is highly preferred.
  • Mechanical background/experience is essential.
