Job Description

The Rangam Shipping and Logistics Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting domestic and global shipment logistics for the Reference Standard and Critical Reagent (RSCR) Group. This position involves handling shipping coordination, data management, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements for shipping hazardous and cold-chain materials.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare materials for shipment, including appropriate containers, shipping temperatures, and packing requirements.
  • Manage logistical outgoing order activities, including consolidation of shipments.
  • Handle shipping documentation preparation, including invoice creation and coordination with internal/external partners for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Update RSCROS inventory system to ensure real-time shipping data accuracy.
  • Maintain inventory supplies related to shipments, including TempTales, containers, and temperature-controlled packaging.
  • Interface with internal and external partners (e.g., PPD, forwarding agents, customs officials) for shipment coordination.
  • Support licensing activities for shipments requiring regulatory approvals, including coordination with Customs and Trade teams.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a shipping logistics environment, preferably in a scientific, pharmaceutical, or biotech setting.
  • Hazmat Shipping Certification.
  • Cold-chain shipping expertise.
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical and biologics shipments (excluding blood, pathogens, or body fluids).
  • Ability to manage shipping documentation, coordinate with customs officials, and ensure compliance with global shipping standards.
