Position Overview: Project Imo Inc. is on the lookout for enthusiastic and skilled outdoor education leaders and program coordinators to join our team in a per diem capacity.

About the Role: We seek dynamic individuals with diverse backgrounds in experiential learning and outdoor activities. Ideal candidates will have experience in low challenge course facilitation, team-building exercises, youth leadership initiatives, as well as front country hiking, camping, and canoeing programs. Our program calendar is expanding, and team members will have opportunities to engage in various programs as they become available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate programs for both small and large groups.
  • Promote a culture of choice and challenge.
  • Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of program equipment.
  • Contribute to program planning, evaluation, and related tasks.
  • Ensure a safe environment that encompasses emotional, physical, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being.
  • Be available for programs within reasonable travel distance.

Qualifications: Successful candidates will demonstrate proven leadership and facilitation experience, along with the following:

  • A strong commitment to delivering quality programs and fostering inclusive communities.
  • A dedication to environmental education and stewardship.
  • Certifications or the ability to obtain certifications in areas such as paddle sports, challenge course operations, and lifeguarding.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification or the ability to secure certification shortly after hiring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for personal development, inquiry, and reflective practice.

Preferred Qualifications: Formal training in low challenge course facilitation from an accredited provider is advantageous.

Compensation: This per diem position offers a competitive hourly wage based on experience and certifications.
