Job Summary

At Youth Villages, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing care coordination services to families who have been diverted from state custody through the Child Protective Services system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement non-custodial permanency plans to ensure the safety and well-being of youth and families.
  • Provide case-management and care coordination services to youth and families on your caseload, including regular home and site visits.
  • Collaborate with external and internal customers, including provider agencies, courts, schools, and biological families or caregivers.
  • Ensure timely completion of legal needs, including court hearings and non-custodial permanency plans.
  • Make recommendations to and collaborate closely with external and internal customers to ensure the best possible outcomes for youth and families.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in a social services discipline is strongly preferred; a Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline is required.
  • One year of related experience in counseling and/or case management is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain a flexible schedule.
