Civil Designer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our team at Summit Design and Engineering Services in North Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to work on various land development projects, designing civil engineering components under the supervision of a project manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and design civil engineering land development components, including storm drainage, sanitary sewer mains, stormwater control facilities, pressure networks, mass and fine grading, sediment and erosion control, and roadways.
  • Provide design calculations, technical reports, permit applications, and plan sets for civil engineering projects.
  • Generate final design grading plans using Civil 3D features.
  • Ensure compliance with local jurisdictional requirements and coordinate with permitting agencies.
  • Supervise construction administration-related duties, including meetings, site visits, responses to RFIs, and review of shop drawings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Practical knowledge of land development design and methods.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D and associated design software.
  • Knowledge of Civil Engineering design principles and requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Estimated Salary:$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
