About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Wind Farm Operations Specialist to join our team at RWE Clean Energy, LLC. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wind farms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all operations and maintenance activities are performed in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Turbine Maintenance: Assist in conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on wind turbines and related equipment.
  • Operations Support: Provide technical guidance and support to the operations team, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, through our digital maintenance management system.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the operations team to achieve shared goals and objectives, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Sciences or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of work experience in operations and/or maintenance in power generation, transmission, and/or distribution, with at least 1 year of experience in wind energy.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams; ability to work safely in extreme environments; knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures; ability to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems.

Work Environment:

Our wind farm site locations require the ability to work in and around energized wind turbine generators and balance of plant equipment. The work will occur within an office, warehouse, turbines, and outdoors.
