Job Title: Blade Repair Services Technician Associate

RWE Clean Energy, LLC is seeking a skilled Blade Repair Services Technician Associate to join our team. As a key member of our internal blade repairs service team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform composite repair and maintenance tasks on wind turbine blades, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Climb wind towers and access wind turbines to perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Lift, carry, and transport equipment, tools, and materials to the job site.
  • Assist in the mobilization of repair equipment to the site and support a team performing platform and ground access composite repairs.
  • Assure proper storage, maintenance, and handling of all Blade Repair Service equipment.
  • Perform safety and other wind farm-related tasks, and act as a backup to personnel at other RWE sites when necessary.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • An associate degree in science or a related field from an accredited school is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in operations and maintenance of power generation, blade repair, transmission, and distribution.
  • Experience in project development or adjacent areas within the power sector is an advantage.
  • Structured and organized, able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
  • All applicants must pass physical fitness tests to maintain Global Wind Organization Certification.
  • All applicants must possess an unrestricted driver's license in good standing.
  • Willing to relocate to within 1 hour drive of the site.
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain an RWE-sponsored Commercial Driver License (CDL), if so requested by RWE, for mobilization of our composite component repair equipment.
Work Environment:

This position is a site-based role that involves occasional travel. It involves the capability to manipulate hatch doors and recognize potential safety risks. Additionally, the individual should be able to crouch, kneel, or half-kneel for intervals of up to five minutes to execute maintenance duties in low areas. Travel up to 75%, multiple worksites, hot/cold weather conditions, irregular hours on short notice.
