Key Responsibilities- Provide assistance with daily living activities, including serving meals, feeding, and providing fresh water and nourishment.
- Assist with personal hygiene, including giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves, as well as helping with showers and baths.
- Support residents with ambulation, turning, and positioning.
- Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight, and recording intake and output information.
- Provide comfort and support to residents, utilizing resources and materials as needed, and answering call lights and requests.
- Document actions and maintain accurate records.
- Protect resident privacy and dignity by maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Adhere to professional standards, company policies, and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge and best practices through ongoing education and training.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Long-term care experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, bending, and walking regularly, as well as lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication is also required.
