Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients within your specialized field of medicine.
  • Advise and confer with members of other disciplines to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and revise medical policies and procedures to ensure quality care.
  • Review lab work, specialty consults, and medical visit summaries to assist the treatment team.
  • Communicate with hospital and rehabilitation facility providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Review and approve discharge summaries and medical information for new admissions.
  • Provide short-term urgently needed prescription renewals and medical expertise to Family Care Program and Community Mental Health Nurses.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams and serve on various committees and workgroups.
Requirements
  • Possession of a license to practice medicine in New York State.
  • Certification by a Member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in your specialty.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time appointment with a 40-hour workweek. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no flextime, mandatory overtime, or compressed workweek allowed.
