The Department of Adult Correction, Division of Community Supervision, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to work as part of our Talent Acquisition team. As an HR Tech I, you will be responsible for closing out the process when positions are filled or otherwise closed, participating in hiring events, tracking and coordinating the placement of staff, and creating interview and hiring packages.
You will also be responsible for determining hiring rates within established salary guidelines, composing memoranda to support salary decisions, and onboarding new employees. Additionally, you will act as a Health Benefits Representative and utilize HR systems, such as NEOGOV and ATS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. If selected for this position, the salary range offered will be within the posted salary range of $31,688 - $55,453.
Key Responsibilities:
- Closing out the process when positions are filled or otherwise closed
- Participating in hiring events
- Tracking and coordinating the placement of staff
- Creating interview and hiring packages
- Determining hiring rates within established salary guidelines
- Composing memoranda to support salary decisions
- Onboarding new employees
- Acting as a Health Benefits Representative
- Utilizing HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an appropriately accredited institution, typically in Human Resources or a relevant field, and no years of experience required; or
- High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience screening job applications for employment
- Experience working within an HR Integrated Payroll System (H.R.I.S.)
- Experience in the use of an applicant tracking system such as ATS or NEOGOV
- Experience administering employee benefits, to include FMLA and leaves of absence
