Clinical Admissions Coordinator

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Admissions Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our admissions team, you will be responsible for facilitating the intake and admission process for patients, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate intake, admission, and utilization review processes for incoming patients.
- Perform insurance benefit verifications and disseminate information to patients, families, and internal staff.
- Provide accurate and ongoing assessments of patient status in the admission and utilization process.
- Respond to inquiries about the facility within facility policy timeframes.
- Schedule and complete pre-admission assessments, communicating recommendations to patients or their families.
- Collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate recommendations and admissions.
- Provide education to patients and their families throughout their stay.
- Perform ongoing assessments of physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and financial needs of patients and implement crisis intervention and referral.
- Provide education regarding healthcare and social resource systems to empower patients and their families to access resources independently.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Master Social Work preferred; Bachelor Social Service required.
- Mental/behavioral health experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity, preferably within the area of specialty for the facility.
- Experience in the managed care pre-certification process, level of care assessments, and utilization.
- Current licensure, as required for the area of clinical specialty, i.e., current RN license, CAC or other clinical counseling or therapy license, as designated by the state in which the facility operates.
- First Aid, CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
