Job Title: Welding Technology Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Welding Technology Instructor to join our team at College of the Canyons. As a Welding Technology Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a full load of courses in welding technology, including conventional and computer-controlled welding processes, metal fabrication, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach a full load of courses in welding technology, including conventional and computer-controlled welding processes, metal fabrication, and safety procedures.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and industry partners.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in welding technology.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Welding Technology or a related field.
  • California Community College Instructor Credential in Welding Technology.
  • Two years of full-time equivalent professional experience in welding technology or a related field.
  • Experience teaching welding technology courses.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with computer-controlled welding processes.
  • Experience with metal fabrication and safety procedures.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
  • Experience with assessment and evaluation of student learning.
