Position Overview

The Technical Project Lead is tasked with steering IT and OT initiatives across various domains, including end-user computing, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and networking. This role encompasses the entire project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business strategies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and cultivate project teams to achieve peak performance through clear direction and motivation.
  • Oversee IT and OT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet performance expectations.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to thoroughly define requirements, scope, financial budgets, and monthly forecasts.
  • Create comprehensive project plans and establish baselines, identifying critical paths, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project status, milestones, tasks, and budgets against established baselines, addressing action items as necessary.
  • Conduct monthly resource planning and promptly report any workload or resource challenges.
  • Adhere to change management protocols for any modifications to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, consistently reviewing and evaluating vendor performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project.
  • Strong focus on deadlines and budgetary constraints.
  • Effective stakeholder and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying project issues to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in IT or OT environments is a plus.
  • Background in data center operations is beneficial.
