KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Assistant Principal):

Staff Engagement

  • Ensure that all team members, including Deans and department heads, feel supported and valued.
  • Maintain records of staff engagement metrics across the team.

Performance Management

Instructional Leadership

  • Develop and implement the educational philosophy, incorporating input from stakeholders.

Leadership Development

  • Provide support for instructional staff in leadership and core values.
  • Enhance leaders' abilities to conduct thorough data analyses.
  • Offer constructive feedback on coaching and team meetings.

Instructional Coaching

  • Engage with instructors for ongoing coaching sessions.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams to assess student progress and plan interventions.
  • Support team members facing performance challenges.
  • Assist in reviewing long-term and daily instructional plans.

Professional Development

  • Lead professional development initiatives focused on instructional best practices.
  • Continuously refine the professional development calendar based on current needs.

Data Management & Analysis

  • Oversee mastery trackers and respond to data trends across departments.
  • Guide reflective practices post-assessments to improve outcomes.
  • Facilitate high-quality analyses of academic performance data.

Testing Coordination

  • Collaborate with testing coordinators to ensure smooth testing operations.
  • Manage the execution of standardized testing protocols.

Hiring Responsibilities

  • Work with leadership to identify staffing needs.
  • Assist in the recruitment of instructional and support staff.
  • Support Deans in outreach and initial engagement with candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS (Assistant Principal):

Education:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Education or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of teaching experience.
  • Prior experience in an administrative or leadership capacity within an educational setting.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic and visionary leadership.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to high ethical and professional standards.
