Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and adjust equipment to ensure optimal film quality.
  • Determine appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy.
  • Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, computed radiography, and PACS equipment to ensure quality examinations.
  • Adhere to department standards of radiographic quality.
  • Deliver patient care and maintain a timely flow of patients in room assignments or work areas.
  • Ensure a secure and safe patient and work environment by maintaining continued awareness of safety hazards.
  • Develop leadership skills and professionalism through participation in department and/or hospital-based committees and continuing education programs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiographic Technology.
  • Previous radiology experience is desirable.
  • Licensed Radiographic Technologist by the IDNS/IEMA.
  • CPR Certification.
  • ARRT Registry eligible.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. The Radiologic Technologist will be exposed to radiation and will be required to operate portable equipment. The ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues is essential.
