Job Summary:

Planned Parenthood Mar Monte is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Health Services Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct service in various health center areas, including sexual and reproductive health, abortion, prenatal, and family medicine. Your primary responsibility will be to provide patients with accurate information regarding Planned Parenthood services, including questions pertaining to contraception, options, and funding sources.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides direct service in all health center specific areas, including sexual and reproductive health, abortion, prenatal, and family medicine.
Screens financial, medical, and social history with correct documentation of pertinent information.
Demonstrates PPMM customer service standards and solicits donations from patients per PPMM guidelines.
Contributes to achieving health center productivity goals and ensures accuracy of charges and posts charges to EPM for all pay types following established practices and procedures.
Runs end-of-day reports as directed by Center Manager and notifies supervisor of discrepancies or unusual occurrences in daily billing or computer software/hardware.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
Ability to communicate sensitive information across a range of diverse backgrounds (both verbal and written).
General knowledge of Windows-based computer applications and willingness to learn new computer skills.
Ability to work in a busy environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising accuracy, attention to detail, and respect to patients and staff.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work at nearby PPMM locations as needed.
Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
