Job Overview

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team at our Early Learning Center in New Windsor, NY. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our infant and toddler students, while also providing exceptional care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that align with the Creative Curriculum and promote children's development across all domains.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and meal logs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless transitions and provide support to staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Child Development, Child Development Certificate, or equivalent degree.
  • Infant and Toddler Child Care and Education Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to infant/toddler developmental period (with 2 yrs of experience) OR
  • Child Development Credential (with 2 yrs experience) OR
  • 9 Credits in Early Childhood or a related field with a plan of study leading to an Associate or other Office recognized credential (with 2 years of experience)
