Job Title: App/Trade Support

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our trading teams, ensuring seamless execution of trades and minimizing risk. This role requires a strong understanding of trading systems, risk management, and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for trading teams, resolving issues and providing guidance on trading systems and risk management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and alert critical trading system environments to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems issues and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Proactively identify and resolve problem hotspots to minimize risk and ensure efficient trading operations.
  • Develop and implement tools to drive efficiency and stability improvements in trading systems.
  • Accurately track support effort to enable effective management reporting and decision-making.
  • Implement and enforce change management policies to ensure smooth transitions and minimize risk.
  • Manage major incidents and problems to ensure minimal disruption to trading operations.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of trading systems, risk management, and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure trading environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex systems issues.
  • Experience with trading risk systems, Bloomberg, and Reuters.
  • ITIL certification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and scripting languages (Unix Shell, Python).
  • Experience with grid computing, job scheduling, and batch management.
  • Well-rounded understanding of infrastructure disciplines (network, server, storage, messaging).
  • Enterprise monitoring experience with ITRS Geneos.
  • Documentation skills with Confluence.
