About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in the operating room, responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, as well as assisting with the peri-operative care of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring a safe and sterile workspace.
  • Assist with the peri-operative care of patients, including preparing patients for surgery and providing support during the procedure.
  • Work closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure the smooth and efficient function of the operating room.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of sterile techniques and aseptic practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
  • Current Surgical Technologist Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of patient care and aseptic technique is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Endoscopy experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
