Job Title: Restaurant Host/Hostess

At LR Palm House LLC, we are seeking a skilled and friendly Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Guest Interaction: Greet and seat guests, present menus, and provide detailed information on food and beverage offerings, including daily specials.
  2. Menu Knowledge: Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage pairings, to answer guest questions and make recommendations.
  3. Table Management: Seat guests in an efficient and welcoming manner. Assist the service team by clearing/resetting tables when needed.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and coordinated service, and assist with other tasks as needed to maintain a well-functioning dining environment.
  5. Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
Requirements:
  1. Prior experience as a host/hostess or in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
  2. Strong customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  6. Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is a plus.
  7. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
