About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Pharmacy in managing the pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures, supervision and training of staff, inventory management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable.
  • Provide management and oversight of pharmacy-related activities within the department and supportive of system-level initiatives involving change and support for pharmaceutical care across the hospital.
  • Select, train, orient, and assign department staff to schedules. Develop standards of performance, evaluate performance, and initiate recommendations for personnel actions.
  • Assess and standardize medication dispensing practices and pharmacy workflows and encourage team member growth and development.
  • Develop and actively participate in training and mentorship programs for pharmacists, pharmacy students, residents, technicians, nurses, and physicians.
  • Work with the Pharmacy Director to identify and develop processes to meet or exceed all regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy (required)
  • Master's Degree in Business or Health Administration (preferred, not required)
  • Pharmacist Licensure – State Board of Pharmacy (required)
  • 3 years of experience in a progressive hospital or healthcare system pharmacy leadership role (preferred)
