About the Role:

We are seeking an Archival Associate to join our team at Texas Tech University Libraries. This paraprofessional position will oversee the processing of manuscript materials, create finding aids, and assist with maintaining collections.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our archival materials are properly processed and organized according to accepted principles and criteria.

This is a full-time, hourly position with a minimum hire rate of $17.77 per hour. The estimated annual salary is approximately $36,731.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing of manuscript materials as assigned
  • Produces finding aids
  • Assists with maintenance of collections including determining locations, maintaining locator lists, and assisting in storing collections after processing is complete

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in related field and one-year related experience; knowledge and competencies of Microsoft Office
  • Able to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
  • Capable of effectively organizing work toward the completion of multiple simultaneous projects
