Job Title: Registered Nurse - Wound Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Wound Care team at Healogics. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care and handle intake and discharge processes for Wound Care Center patients. This role may also serve as a Case Manager to a group of assigned patients. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handle patient intake and discharge processes as assigned.
  • Assist in vein clinic as assigned after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
  • May serve as Case Manager to a group of patients as assigned.
  • Perform initial nursing assessment, communicate findings with assigned physician, assess wound stage and measurements, document care plans, evaluate patient status in regards to desired outcomes, and identify patient care situations that require intervention.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide education to patient or caregiver, and serve as patient advocate in delivery and coordination of patient care.
  • Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties as assigned, upon completion of Healogics hyperbaric training.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center Providers, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs.
  • Function as Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Current RN license in the state of practice - to be maintained throughout the duration of employment in the position
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Medical Surgical, Home Health or Wound Care Certification preferred
  • Wound care experience preferred
Working Conditions:

The Registered Nurse will work in a normal office environment with exposure to mechanical equipment, patient care environment, electrical current, proximity to moving objects, and exposure to hazards (blood borne pathogens, body fluids, toxic chemicals, flammable explosive gases, etc.).

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $40.72-$52.36 Per Hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education, experience, geography as well as operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
