About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with a passion for wound care and ostomy management. As a Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse, you will be responsible for managing and delivering wound care specific clinical education programs, supporting the day-to-day operations of our wound management software application, and ensuring that our clinical education programs address patient-centered needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement clinical education programs to foster high-quality care and promote evidence-based practice.
- Support the integration of evidence-based wound and ostomy care practices into protocols, policies, and staff development plans.
- Evaluate clinical outcomes data and analyze practice patterns to promote organizational responses that meet the needs of patients with complex and chronic illnesses.
- Collaborate with program leadership to identify, develop, implement, and evaluate practice improvement plans.
- Perform written, telephonic, and in-person clinical consultations as needed.
- Certified as a Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) required.
- Current License and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS required.
- Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing, Science in Education, or Science in Business Administration required.
- Minimum of five years progressive experience in health care required.
