The Customer Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for incoming phone, digital, or written inquiries. This role involves addressing customer needs, which may encompass intricate benefit inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and educating members. Responsibilities include documenting inquiries, comments, or complaints, and taking appropriate actions. Unresolved customer concerns are escalated as necessary. Additionally, you will contribute to our outreach initiatives by making follow-up calls to our members.
Utilize Your Expertise to Make a Difference
Essential Qualifications
- Must reside in Ohio
- At least one (1) year of experience in customer service is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Teams.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to navigate multiple software systems, including email and chat platforms, while efficiently managing various databases during customer interactions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Training Overview
- This position includes a comprehensive training program conducted virtually. Training will span the initial weeks of employment, with a structured schedule.
- Timeliness and professional appearance are required during training sessions and meetings.
- Consistent attendance is crucial for success, with no time off permitted during the training period or the initial months of employment.
- This role necessitates mastering various systems, policies, and tools, which requires time to achieve proficiency.
- Commitment to remain in this position for a minimum of twelve (12) months is expected before pursuing other opportunities within CenterWell.
- After training, employees must be flexible to work an 8-hour shift between 6:45 AM and 8:00 PM Eastern time, Monday through Friday.
- Weekend and overtime work may be required based on organizational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree.
- Prior experience in inbound and/or outbound call center roles or related customer service positions.
- Experience in the healthcare sector.
Remote Work Requirements
To ensure effective performance for remote associates, the following internet service criteria must be met:- A minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; a wired cable or DSL connection is preferred.
- Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may only be used with prior approval.
- CenterWell will provide necessary telephone equipment to meet job requirements.
- Work should be conducted from a dedicated space free from interruptions to protect member information.
