About the Role: Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Neuro Trauma Specialist. This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilize your expertise in critical care nursing to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the advancement of healthcare.

Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse on our Neuro Trauma unit, you will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to patients with complex neurological injuries or conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying potential health risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans that address patients' unique needs and goals, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Maintenance of Medical Records: Accurately document patient information, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications to patients as prescribed by physicians, monitoring for adverse reactions and side effects.
  • Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure through the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to orientation completion.

Compensation and Benefits: We offer a highly competitive salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off.
