Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist Hosp II will provide respiratory care to patients in varying states of health and illness. This role requires strong assessment, planning, and implementation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and plan respiratory care for patients
  • Implement and evaluate respiratory plans of care
  • Provide direct patient care and instruction
  • Prepare patients for continuing care after discharge

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy from a CoARC-accredited program
  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a Respiratory Therapist at Rutland Regional Medical Center
  • Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Current VT State license
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • Certification in ACLS, PALS, and NRP within 60 days of hire
  • Registration as a Respiratory Therapist (does not apply to therapists hired prior to 12/31/03)

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $27.05 - $39.98 per hour, with a hiring bonus of $10,000. We also offer differential rates for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
