Position Overview:

AriensCo is seeking a Safety/EHS Leader to oversee safety initiatives at our manufacturing facility. This role is crucial in fostering a robust safety culture and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and promote a proactive safety culture through behavioral-based initiatives.
  • Build and lead safety teams focused on continuous improvement of safety programs.
  • Conduct thorough incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify safety enhancement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain safety programs in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Stay informed about OSHA regulations and ensure compliance across all operations.
  • Develop and deliver training on various safety topics to enhance employee awareness.
  • Perform safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Implement preventive measures and support return-to-work initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to employees on safety practices and necessary changes.
  • Manage safety inventory, including supplies and equipment.
  • Educate teams on the significance of safety practices, including ergonomic injury prevention.
  • Support the management of the OSHA 300 log and represent the organization in safety-related community initiatives.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety leadership or related roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of positively impacting safety programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of OSHA VPP is preferred.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
