We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Clinical Systems team as a Senior EHR Analyst specializing in the Epic Beacon module.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Senior EHR Analyst is to deliver expert guidance in the functional support, design, instruction, oversight, and management of the Epic system to ensure operational success across the market and relevant facilities. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: hands-on design, development, and testing of application workflows and functionalities; identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities within the system; participating in system upgrades; supporting application users; and assisting in the execution of all Beacon application projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Analysis and Solution Definition

  • Collaborate with Application Managers, Directors, and the entire Project Team to gather, analyze, and document business operations and workflows.
  • Quickly grasp the business challenges and data issues faced by the organization and industry.
  • Identify organizational strengths and weaknesses, proposing areas for enhancement.
  • Assist in the creation of system documentation, user manuals, and training programs for the application suite.
  • Engage in testing efforts, ensuring that issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved promptly.
  • Analyze data conversion requirements and evaluate new functionalities in releases to determine impacts and opportunities.

Project Execution

  • Assess current processes to identify gaps and develop future state processes to enhance departmental and organizational efficiency.
  • Communicate and uphold project standards.
  • Support the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
  • Incorporate feedback from supervisors accurately and appropriately.
  • Manage resources in alignment with project timelines.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality services to business stakeholders.
  • Understand the components necessary for running a financially successful project.
  • Make recommendations, review, and test changes, enhancements, and each new release as assigned.
  • Ensure that test scripts are created, reviewed, and updated to reflect proposed workflow solutions.
  • Assist in defining, testing, and implementing interfaces with third-party systems, developing effective end-to-end workflows around these interfaces.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Degree, certificate, or licensure in relevant fields such as oncology, medical office management, or computer sciences. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Beacon Certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Beacon analyst is required.
