About the Role

This position offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. As a Residential Counselor with Child & Family, you will be part of a team that provides a nurturing environment for residents, promoting their physical, mental, and behavioral health.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the overall care of residents, including their health and hygiene, education, and social/emotional well-being. This involves cultivating a trauma-informed environment by understanding the impacts of trauma and neglect, responding to residents and their families with empathy and sensitivity, and maintaining trauma-sensitive interactions.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 6 months' experience working with children and/or adolescents is preferred, with experience in a residential setting being an asset.
  • Bilingualism in Spanish is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and time-management skills are essential.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 are required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations is crucial.
Benefits and Requirements

This role requires statewide travel and involves sitting, standing, walking, driving, carrying, and lifting up to 25lbs. A valid driver's license and authorization for a motor vehicle records check are mandatory. You must also meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position.
