Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach undergraduate level courses in Native American Literature at Independence Community College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality instruction to prepare students for further education and/or the workforce.
  • Organize and teach online classes as assigned, utilizing the Canvas learning management platform.
  • Manage the teaching environment to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all learners.
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to students, promoting academic growth and success.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records and submit grades in a timely manner.
  • Participate in institutional effectiveness initiatives, including assessment and evaluation, to ensure academic excellence.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with faculty, administration, staff, and students.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in the chosen discipline, or a related field with 18 graduate credits in the concentration.
  • Higher education teaching experience is preferred, but not required.
Compensation

The successful candidate will be compensated at a rate of $675 per credit hour taught.
