Job Summary:
The University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Social Work Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our clinical treatment team, you will be responsible for coordinating and directing the functioning of a team providing inpatient and outpatient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision and consultation to staff, as well as advanced social work services and case management to patients with complex needs.
- Assist departmental management in evaluating problem areas in clinical functioning and make recommendations for program and staff assignments.
- Approve staff requests for leave and ensure adequate clinical coverage when team members are absent.
- Orient new workers for on-call coverage and arrange for on-call coverage among team members.
Requirements:
- First-line administrative supervision of a clinical treatment team of approximately 4-10 social work staff and students.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent clinical and case management skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
