Position Summary

Benjamin Moore is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the functionality of production and facility equipment by executing a range of routine (preventive/predictive) and reactive (corrective/breakdown) maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in troubleshooting Packaging and/or Manufacturing equipment and will thrive in a hands-on role.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct basic maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments on all equipment as necessary.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and implement corrective measures to optimize line/mixer efficiency.
  • Independently set up, changeover, and troubleshoot filling equipment and packaging lines.
  • Support operations during line changeovers, including disassembly and reassembly of related equipment.
  • Assist in diagnosing machine electronic controls, sensors, servers, and drives.
  • Understand systems that impact line efficiency or operation (e.g., pumps, scales).
  • Perform assigned maintenance tasks to sustain line performance and document all breakdown-related work in the CMMS system.
  • Assist in the installation of new and repaired equipment.
  • Complete documentation in accordance with SOP requirements.
  • Adhere to site safety policies and procedures, including LOTO, PTW, and Machine Guarding.
  • Document work performance via the work order system as directed.
  • Participate in site improvement initiatives, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Breakdown Analysis.
  • Collaborate with production technicians and other mechanics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of maintenance/troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Basic electrical experience in an industrial environment; PLC and instrument control experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with similar equipment and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
