Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Associate to join our team at Graphic Packaging International. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting and Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyze various financial reports, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reports, for management review.
  • AP/AR Operations: Plan, organize, and participate in the operational activities of accounts payable and accounts receivable using the SAP ERP system.
  • Financial Reporting: Develop, prepare, and assemble reports, charts, and graphs as required to support business decisions.
  • Technical Advice: Provide technical advice and guidance to colleagues on accounting and financial matters.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on AP/AR related issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement new streamlined systems and procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy of work.
  • Collaboration: Interface with other departments to resolve accounting problems and improve business processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Two years of progressively more responsible experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and/or fiscal management.
  • Skills: SAP experience, excellent analytical skills, knowledge of accounting management principles and practices, proactive and creative work approach, self-motivated and directed, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong Microsoft Office skills, and strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
  • Schedule: General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally.
  • Travel: Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Physical Demands: Sitting or standing for extended periods of time, occasional lifting up to 20 lbs, reading computer screen or other electronic devices, and use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
