About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at 99 Healthcare Management. As a key member of our cardiovascular practice, you will play a vital role in helping us deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and pharmacologic stress agents under the supervision of a physician and according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate dosage and proper handling of radioactive materials.
  • Explain procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.
  • Monitor patients during imaging to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Assist patients before, during, and after procedures as needed.
  • Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment to perform cardiac scans.
  • Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain optimal images.
  • Ensure high-quality imaging results for accurate diagnosis.
  • Perform computer acquisition and processing of complex nuclear data and images for interpretation by nuclear cardiologists.
  • Follow established protocols and safety procedures for handling and disposing of radioactive materials.
  • Perform regular quality control checks on imaging equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and radiopharmaceutical usage.
  • Work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear instructions and support.
  • Stay updated on regulations and best practices related to nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as institutional policies.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of EKG to perform cardiac studies.
  • Ability to administer intramuscular and intravenous injections and start intravenous lines.
  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT – N)
  • Obtain an Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
  • ACLS and BLS certification.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures without supervision.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills are essential.

Schedule

Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am-5 pm and Friday 8:30 am - 3 pm. No weekends or after hours.
