In a hospital environment, compounds and dispenses prescribed medications. Handles medication orders, physician and nurse calls, logs data into the computer, and performs drug utilization review.

This role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks, requiring a certain degree of creativity and latitude. Reports to pharmacy supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or Pharm D degree in pharmacy and licensure in Tennessee are required.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field is necessary.
