Job Summary
The Public Utilities Commission is seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Engineer to join our team in the Renewables Procurement Section. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping California's clean energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice to high-level decision-makers on renewable energy projects and policy recommendations.
- Lead renewable energy projects, conduct analysis, and make policy recommendations to support California's clean energy goals.
- Contribute to policy-setting rulemakings at the CPUC, review legislative bills, and oversee program implementations resulting from these processes.
- Write reports, collaborate with other California organizations and agencies, and respond to external inquiries.
Requirements
- Experience in policy and technical analysis, including modeling and making recommendations.
- Experience with safety regulations, electric systems, and environmental rules.
- Experience managing datasets, analyzing big data, and using data visualization software.
Working Conditions
Travel may be required for this role. Teleworking may be an option for eligible candidates in California.
