Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous individual to become a part of our Parts Department, specifically in the Shipping and Receiving sector. This position plays a vital role in overseeing the intake, organization, and dispatch of automotive components and accessories, ensuring our inventory remains precise and that customer orders are processed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and assess incoming deliveries of automotive components and accessories.
- Confirm quantities and part identifiers against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Systematically arrange and store components in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Prepare and package items for distribution to clients and other facilities.
- Maintain precise records of inventory movements.
- Collaborate with the Parts Manager to oversee stock levels and initiate reorders as necessary.
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
- Assist in keeping the warehouse clean and orderly.
- Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage in routine inventory assessments and reconciliations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a shipping and receiving capacity, ideally within an automotive parts environment.
- Knowledge of automotive components and accessories is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and transport heavy items (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Competence with computers and inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
