Automotive Mechanic

Job Summary:

The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for analyzing and diagnosing problems with heavy equipment and vehicles, and performing repairs and maintenance as needed. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and diagnosing problems with heavy equipment and vehicles
• Performing repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems
• Using technical manuals and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and repair complex problems
• Working with supervisors and other technicians to prioritize and complete repairs
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used

Requirements:

• Three years of experience in automotive or diesel mechanics
• Completion of a program of technical study in automotive or diesel mechanics
• Possession of a valid New York State driver's license
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Working Conditions:

The Automotive Mechanic will work in a garage or field environment, with exposure to heavy equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, and be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
