We are seeking Recreation Instructors to lead various classes for our Active Adult population at the City of Raleigh, NC. Our centers cater to retired adults aged 50 and older, offering a range of classes including fitness, art, educational, and social activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach classes for Active Adults, including fitness, art, educational, and social activities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of our Active Adult population
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for participants
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver programs
  • Meet program goals and objectives, including participant engagement and retention

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • One year of experience related to the specific class being offered
  • Experience teaching for older adults is preferred

Active Adult Classes are offered at various centers, including the Anne Gordon Center for Active Adults and the Five Points Center for Active Adults. We are seeking instructors who are passionate about working with older adults and can provide engaging and inclusive programming.
