Job Opportunity: Recreation Instructor

We are seeking qualified Recreation Instructors to lead various classes for our Active Adult population at the City of Raleigh, NC.

Job Summary:

Recreation Instructors will be responsible for teaching fitness, art, educational, and social activities to adults aged 50 and older. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience related to the specific class being offered and a passion for working with older adults.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a variety of classes, including fitness, art, and educational activities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
  • Work with a diverse group of adults aged 50 and older
  • Collaborate with other Recreation Instructors and staff members

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • One year of experience related to the specific class being offered
  • Experience teaching for older adults is preferred

Work Environment:

Recreation Instructors will work at various centers, including the Anne Gordon Center for Active Adults and the Five Points Center for Active Adults. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work at multiple locations.
