Job Title: Advising First Program Manager

Florida State University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Advising First Program Manager. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in shaping the future of academic advising at FSU.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of the Exploratory SLS courses, including curriculum design, academic oversight, and course site building.
  • Provide leadership, management, and indirect supervision to instructors within the Exploratory Program, including instructor course evaluations and feedback.
  • Analyze student data and course outcomes to measure results and drive continuous improvement, using data to inform decisions about course design and program initiatives.
  • Recruit, train, and oversee the coordination of the Exploratory Peer Advising Leaders (EPAL) program, and recruit and advertise the Exploratory SLS courses through presentations at campus events and for campus partners.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in educational psychology, higher education, or a related field, and two years of experience in higher education or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching SLS courses related to major and career exploration, and knowledge of effective learning strategies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, supervisors, and interdepartmental personnel.
  • Ability to interpret and explain policies to students, parents, faculty, and staff, and attention to detail and the highest standard of integrity.
