Position Overview
PeaceHealth is in search of a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated Hospice House team at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with 3-5 years of experience post-certification, specifically in Hospice and Palliative Care.
- Should possess a keen interest in collaborating with a Nurse Case Manager, addressing clinical inquiries, updating symptom management protocols, and care plans, while also providing coverage at our 12-bed inpatient Hospice House as the primary care provider.
- Availability for telephone consultations is essential.
About the Practice
- Our Palliative Care and Hospice team is committed to delivering comprehensive care, support, and guidance across medical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions, with an emphasis on alleviating suffering and enhancing the quality of life for patients.
- Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential additional on-call responsibilities.
- The primary workspace is located within the Administrative Building on the same campus as the Hospice House, featuring a shared office with a dedicated workstation for easy access to colleagues.
- We operate a beautiful 12-bed facility for inpatient care, complemented by dedicated Hospice services.
- Utilization of Epic EMR is standard.
This role is governed by a collective bargaining agreement, and multiple openings may be available.
The compensation for this position ranges from $63.04 to $79.88 per hour, based on direct NP/PA experience. Medical malpractice coverage and tail coverage are included, along with potential reimbursement for licensure.
