Position Overview
PeaceHealth is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated Hospice House team at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Must be a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with 3-5 years of experience post-certification, specifically in Hospice and Palliative Care.
- Should have a passion for collaborating with a Nurse Case Manager, addressing clinical inquiries, updating symptom management protocols, and care plans, while also providing coverage at our 12-bed inpatient Hospice House as the primary care provider.
- Must be open to taking on-call responsibilities.
Practice Environment
- Our Palliative Care and Hospice team is committed to delivering comprehensive care, support, and guidance in medical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions, focusing on alleviating suffering and enhancing the quality of life for patients.
- Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential additional on-call duties.
- The primary workspace is located in the Administrative Building on the same campus as the Hospice House, featuring a shared office with a dedicated workstation for easy collaboration with colleagues.
- Our facility includes a beautiful 12-bed inpatient care area, alongside dedicated Hospice services.
- Utilization of Epic EMR for patient management.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement, and there may be multiple openings available.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $63.04 to $79.88, based on direct NP/PA experience. Comprehensive medical malpractice and tail coverage are included, along with potential reimbursement for licensing fees.
