About the Role

The Executive Director of Business Development is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding existing accounts through a consultative approach. This role requires a deep understanding of the nonprofit philanthropy sector and the ability to effectively communicate the value of Graham-Pelton's services to prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for service, conduct discovery and qualification outreach, and lead proposal generation and pitches.
  • Client Service: Provide high-level leadership to project teams, work closely with consulting teams to deliver service, and ensure service renewals.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Supervise accounts, provide leadership and mentorship to Graham-Pelton colleagues, and support accounts to meet key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Previous experience with a demonstrated track record of success in sales, fundraising, and development, and/or transferrable professional services experience.
  • Skills: Entrepreneurial spirit, emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and superb critical thinking and communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce CRM or other similar tools.
  • Industry Experience: Strong preference for candidates with experience in selling fundraising professional services.
