Job Summary

The Associate Director of Development Marketing and Communications supports programs for alumni, donors, and students with marketing and communications. This role works closely with team leadership and colleagues to define projects and execute strategy within the Division of Development and Alumni Engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design effective marketing materials, including visual content development, design, and production, for various communication channels.
  • Develop and execute marketing ideas to promote events and programs.
  • Interview and develop rapport with constituents, including donors, faculty, and students, to document and curate strong institutional narrative content.
  • Work closely with the team to execute design needs from content marketing calendars and adhere to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with print vendors and mail houses to ensure high-quality production and delivery.
  • Attend university events as needed, both on and off campus.
  • Help to photograph and video events and assist with other project needs.
  • Contribute ideas, input, and support to initiatives, decisions, and communications with marketing and communications implications.
  • Develop concepts, layouts, and final production files, as well as keep accurate and current data information.
  • Adhere to university brand and style guidelines.
  • Occasional work outside normal office hours and some travel as needed.

  • Strong organizational and written/oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow professionals.
  • Ability to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed expectations of constituents and colleagues.
  • Ability to collaborate with others as a primary means to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging and interactive digital content, including social media graphics, short videos, and animations.
  • Ability to help create, film, and edit short recap videos from events and initiatives.
  • Support the University's Mission and Values in their role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience with social media platforms and tools for content creating, scheduling, and analytics.
Work Environment

This role requires work in an office environment and movement between campus buildings. Occasional event support may be needed after hours or on weekends.
