  • Lead strategic initiatives focused on network capacity across Amazon's various sectors.
  • Enhance and manage the flow of products, information, or services within the logistics network.

  • Analyze data to uncover opportunities for enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiency.
  • Establish metrics, develop program management frameworks, and innovate processes to facilitate decision-making in complex logistics scenarios.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various functions, influencing and facilitating agreements to achieve shared objectives.
  • Oversee cross-functional initiatives, ensuring ongoing improvement and adherence to lean methodologies.
  • Manage a portfolio of cross-functional programs, driving performance enhancements and efficiency in project execution.
  • Identify and implement operational improvement opportunities, focusing on inventory management, logistics strategy, and transportation optimization.
  • Monitor and refine key logistics metrics to ensure the seamless flow of products or services through the network.

To achieve success in this significant initiative, we are seeking a Logistics Operations Leader to optimize our initial mile operations, which involve collecting freight from shippers and delivering it to Amazon Freight terminals. This role entails analyzing extensive data sets, identifying improvement opportunities, collaborating with key stakeholders, and piloting projects and initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience utilizing data and metrics to drive process enhancements.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (including vlookups and pivot tables) and familiarity with SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or MBA in relevant fields.
  • Specific experience in driving process improvements in network capacity.
  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with complex systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large, intricate datasets.
